We regret to inform you that this Labor Day weekend marks the last time you can party at JET. The Mirage’s popular nightclub will close Tuesday, Sept. 6, and in grand Las Vegas tradition reopen New Year’s Eve with a new look and new name (1OAK).

As you probably know, our successful affiliation with JET allowed many owners free entry (and non-owners generous discounts) into the best nightlife experience in Las Vegas. Hundreds of Tahiti Village visitors enjoyed dancing the night away on any of JET’s three dance floors. The good news is, we are negotiating to continue our partnership with the Mirage and hope to have a similar affiliation in place for 1OAK’s grand opening New Year’s Eve 2011.  The new club will be a West Coast version of the edgy and exclusive New York City hotspot operated by the Butter Group, which runs a collection of trendy venues. The name 1OAK is a synonym for “one of a kind.” It boasts a décor featuring walls padded with ostrich leather, oak ceilings and black lacquer. The Las Vegas club will take its attitude from the New York venue, but assume a look and feel all its own.

“We are thrilled to be expanding the brand into one of the most celebrated entertainment destinations in the world,” said Scott Sartiano, managing partner at 1OAK.

Andrew Sasson, founder of the Light Group, the Las Vegas nightlife operator that runs JET, said in a statement: “1OAK Las Vegas will be a truly unique nightlife experience that will set new industry standards in Las Vegas.”
