las vegas shows

Vegas truly has it all. From exquisite dining opportunities to exhilarating adventures on and off the Strip, there is something for everyone in this international travel destination. And one of the most exciting things to do when in Vegas is attending one of the dozens of shows that perform to wide-eyed audiences every night.

Resident shows are those that have a permanent home in one of Vegas’ venues or are scheduled to perform until an indefinite end date. David Copperfield’s show – in Vegas permanently since 2003 – is an example of a resident show. Here are five of the most exciting Las Vegas shows you should check out in 2017!

Mariah Carey at Caesars Palace

The show is called #1 to Infinity and was announced while the singer was a guest on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.  Shows are scheduled on Saturdays, Sundays, and Wednesdays and feature her 18 number one hits – from “Vision of Love” to “Touch My Body” and every other favorite in between. She’ll be performing this summer at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

Magic Mike Live

Featuring first-class dancers and a cabaret-like experience at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, Magic Mike Live is a daring show that is bound to get your heart pumping as thirteen talented men take the stage and perform in front of, above, and all around the lucky audience. If you loved actor Channing Tatum in the original movie, you’ll love knowing that he conceived and co-directed this sexy and exhilarating show. Tickets are available now.

Ricky Martin

Tickets are now on sale for what is bound to be one of the hottest shows on the Vegas Strip this year. Latin superstar Ricky Martin will take up residency at the new Park Theater at the Monte Carlo, with the first show kicking off on April 5th, 2017. Just like Mariah Carey, Martin announced his intentions on the Ellen Show and mentioned that this is something that he has been wanting to do for several years. If you’re in Vegas in 2017, make sure you take advantage of this incredible opportunity to watch the world’s most dynamic contemporary Latin Music artist!

This show, designed for the 18+ crowd, appeals to those who want to feel a sense of hazy enlightenment and absurdist giggles; kind of like what you’d experience after partaking in a little too much of the alcoholic drink. The minimalist stage design, set on a 9-foot round stage right in the center of the theater, and just inches from the audience, you’ll hear dirty jokes, double entendres, and circus-style feats of acrobatics and strength. Cirque du Soleil

There are currently seven Cirque du Soleil shows available for viewing in Las Vegas today. From the furious stage dramatics of KA to the heart-warming tunes of The Beatles’ LOVE, there is something for everyone, when you discover the creativity and artistry of Cirque.

Tahiti Village Luau

Looking for something a little different than your traditional, theater-based show? If so, visit Tahiti Village in the summertime and partake in the weekly luau that includes drink specials, an island-inspired buffet, and live Polynesian entertainment. Sunday nights are the perfect time for guests to head on over for this family-friendly experience.

Discover these and other hot shows the next time you’re in Las Vegas – they’ll act as the perfect counterpoint to your relaxing stay at Tahiti Village.
