What does this wire-free Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) read-write technology mean? Well, if you’re anything like us, all you want to know is if the technology will make your life easier.
The answer is a resounding yes! RFID key fobs aren’t like mag-stripe keycards that can be demagnetized by cell phones or other articles in your pocket. What’s more, they need only be held a short distance from the lock reader to authenticate the holder. And as a contactless interface, RFID keys don’t collect dirt or require regular maintenance (unlike stripe cards).
