Tahiti Village Resort Las Vegas

Summer is heating up in a big way here at Tahiti Village, with the first of 19 scheduled luaus kicking off this Saturday night. Last year’s hottest ticket is even bigger and better than before. Hot Lava will add more dancers and entertainment value to its already popular show, Tahiti Joe’s will serve up a delicious Polynesian-style buffet, and we are implementing a new later show time (7 p.m.) to give you a reprieve from the heat.

Tickets are $27.99 plus tax for owners ($32.99 plus tax for guests). Children age 4- 10 are $14 and kids three and under get in free. VIP seating is available and includes early access to the buffet. VIPs will also receive their choice of a complimentary cocktail or souvenir photo. The final luau of 2012 is scheduled for Sept. 8. Last year the weather permitted us to extend the luau into late September. For more information call (702) 440-6945.

Those of you who follow the blog are now acquainted with Nevada Administrative Code 444.288, which prohibits the transportation of outside food and beverages into public swimming and bathing facilities. After further discussion with the Clark County Health Department, we are happy to announce you can bring your own sealed plastic water bottle (one bottle per person per entry) into the pool area and Lazy River.

We are doing our best to comply with the code in light of the health department’s recent imposition of fines and sanctions against existing resorts that have violated NRS 444.288. We hope this relaxation of the code contributes to your enjoyment of our resort. You can refill your empty water bottle free of charge at water stations in the pool area and Lazy River.

Our other big water announcement concerns a change in the Dive-In Movie schedule. Previously held every Wednesday and Friday, the Dive-In Movie will now be 7:30 p.m. every Wednesday and Sunday beginning May 2. We will show Shark Tale every Wednesday in May and Mr. Popper’s Penguins every Sunday. As always we offer free popcorn and lemonade.

We wish you a great summer and look forward to your visit!
