Get your Irish on this St. Patrick’s Day by celebrating with your whole family in Las Vegas.

When you think of St. Patrick’s Day, what comes to mind? Shamrocks? Maybe. The color green? Possibly. Parades and good music? Could be. Ask most people what they think of when St. Patrick’s Day is mentioned and they’ll likely circle around to plenty of adult beverages, lots of raucous action, and a good chance of calling in “sick” to work the next day.

But keep in mind that while this version of St. Paddy’s Day may be right up your alley, there is a huge contingent of people who are interested in having a good time, while simultaneously including their family members (old and young) in the festivities. If you’re looking for a way to celebrate this light-hearted holiday in Vegas and want to party with everyone in the family, here are some of our top ideas for 2017

Everyone Loves a Parade

The city of Henderson hosts an annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival in Las Vegas that spans four days (one for each leaf of the luckiest of clovers!) and kicks off on March 10th. The event is free and open to people of all ages. This year marks the 51st anniversary of the first “Shamrocks and Shenanigans” parade hosted by the city of Henderson, and it promises to be a family-friendly experience you’ll look forward to every year.

BLOQ Party Fun

If you don’t want to take the family to Henderson, consider visiting The LINQ Hotel & Casino and check out O’Sheas BLOQ Party this year. The festivities start at noon on March 17th and are packed full of St. Patrick’s Day-themed entertainment options like bag pipers and live bands, a famous beer pong challenge, leprechauns, stilt walkers, and more. Drink specials will appeal to the adults in your crowd, while the green-tinted High Roller Observation Wheel, Vortex at the LINQ, and LINQ fountains will keep the younger members of your group engaged.

Green Waters and Irish Celebrations

Think you have to visit Chicago to see the famous “green-dyed Chicago river” on St. Patrick’s Day? Think again. Each year on this festive holiday, the merrymakers at Vegas’ New York-New York Casino dye their famous fountains green in honor of St. Patrick’s Day, and they also host a wild 2-day party with a decidedly Irish flair (Friday March 17 and Saturday March 18, 2017). Nine Fine Irishmen provide tasty treats, cocktails are never-ending for the adults in your group, and live entertainment is available to suit the tastes of anyone in your group. The parade is free, but the admission to the main event is just $10 for guests 21 and over only.

St. Patrick’s Day promises to be a blast for you and your entire family. This year, consider staying somewhere off the Strip. You’ll enjoy a quieter, more relaxing experience while still enjoying close proximity to all of the St. Patrick’s Day action in the heart of Las Vegas.
