Las Vegas is home to one of the finest rodeo experiences on Earth – one that is fun for the whole family! This week-long event is held each year at the Thomas & Mack Center, and the 2016 National Finals Rodeo (NFR) series runs from December 1st to the 10th. If you’re staying in Las Vegas during this ten-day stretch, make sure that you carve out some time for one of the most sought-after sporting events of the year.

How to Order Tickets

Visit the TicketCity’s National Finals Rodeo page, where you can select from among a wide range of seats located throughout the Thomas & Mack Center. Ticket prices range from $59 all the way up to several hundred. Though the center holds about 17,000 people during the rodeo, you’ll still want to order tickets in advance to ensure you get in.

Where Should I Sit?

The Thomas & Mack Center delivers a terrific experience from almost any seat in the house, with seats available in the upper level (sections 201-236) for those who like a bird’s eye view of all the action. If you want to feel the action more closely, consider purchasing tickets in sections 101-122, with 101 and 122 positioned right at the Bucking Chute and 110-112 located near the Roping action. There isn’t a bad seat to be had, but those closer to the floor will deliver a more intense experience.

What Events Are Scheduled?

The top fifteen money-winners in each of seven unique events will compete each day. The events include bareback riding, bull riding, saddle bronc riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, team roping, and barrel racing. This prestigious rodeo will ultimately decide which cowboys will earn the gold buckle and raise their arms as world champions for the year.

How Do I Get There?

If you’re visiting from out of town and staying at a local hotel, there are several complimentary shuttle buses that will pick you up and drop you off at the Thomas & Mack Center. Buses pick up from both the Strip and downtown Las Vegas – or hop in a taxi to get to the event. You can rent a car, too, but only consider this option if you’re planning on using it for another trip during the week. Public transportation abounds in Vegas.

Vegas is typically known for more adult-focused entertainment, but there is plenty of kid-friendly activities to add to your itinerary. The 2016 National Finals Rodeo is an exhilarating experience for those of all ages, so pack your boots and cowboy hats, order your tickets today, and get ready for a Western-themed day of excitement that will provide rich memories for years.
