Sports
As most people know by now, Las Vegas has become a big sports name. As the Vegas Golden Knights continue to tear it up on the ice, more and more people are coming to Vegas for sporting events. In addition to the amazing hockey that Vegas has had this year, there are a few other sports to your summertime schedule!
-Las Vegas 51s – Even though baseball isn’t the newest sport in the desert, this Minor League Baseball team is one event that you don’t want to miss. Throughout their season schedule that stretches from April through September, the team will celebrate 35 years of baseball in this great city. All home games are played at Cashman Field, but are scheduled to move to a brand new stadium in Summerlin for the 2019 season. This affordable summer activity is perfect for the whole family (don’t forget to buy some Cracker Jacks!).
-Las Vegas Aces – As the newest sport to make its way to the desert, the Las Vegas Aces WNBA team kicked off their season on May 6th with a W! You can catch their games at the Mandalay Bay Events Center now and throughout the summer. So, get yourself a ticket, rep some Aces colors, and cheer on this newest Las Vegas sport!
-Las Vegas Lights FC – In addition to baseball and basketball in Las Vegas, there is also soccer to enjoy! Vegas now has a professional soccer team, and their uniforms prove that they know what Las Vegas is all about. Just like the 51s, the Lights games are held at Cashman Field and the season is already underway. If you want to start the party before doors open, Zappos Tailgating Parties begin around 5:30 p.m. before the 8:00 p.m. game.
Las Vegas has it all when it comes to summer events. Between concerts, sports games, luaus, and shows, there’s something for everyone in the Entertainment Capital of the World. So this season, grab a resort-style hotel room at Tahiti Village, plan out your itinerary, and enjoy the summer in Vegas!
