Owners Night at Tahiti Joe’s is a Thursday tradition at your home resort, but yesterday we took the show on the road and set up shop at the Island Courtyard, our new 10,000-square foot events and barbecue area. Tower 5 cast a cooling shadow over the venue while owners enjoyed hamburgers, hot dogs, cold beverages and live music. Guitarist Jeremy James provided the entertainment for the first in what we hope is a series of Owners Night events at the location. The spacious outdoor venue, with its 13 new grills, umbrella-topped tables and raised performance stage, lends a relaxed, airy vibe to the event.
“We’re getting a feel for it to see how we’re going to move forward,” said Mike Mayhew, Tahiti Village assistant general manager.
The enticing smell of hot dogs and hamburgers cooking on the grill attracted owners to the courtyard throughout the evening, while James and the mild-for-September weather kept them in their seats. We could be on to something.
