Las Vegas, June 2, 2014 – We are delighted to announce the appointment of our very own Lynn Mitchell to Chairman of the Board of the Nevada Hotel & Lodging Association (NHLA), a statewide trade association with approximately 200 member companies.

Lynn Mitchell

Lynn, Soleil Management’s Vice President of Operations, oversees our Nevada and Florida properties including Tahiti Village. He most recently served as Vice Chairman of the NHLA board and has been a board member for several years.

Lynn has had an impressive and extensive career in the hospitality industry. He has held high-level executive positions both domestically and internationally with leading companies such as ARAMARK Parks and Resorts, Radisson Hotels and Resorts, ITT Sheraton Hotels and Resorts and Tandem/Outsource International.

In addition to serving as NHLA Chairman, Lynn serves on the SKAL International Board of Directors, and is a member of the Community Associations Institute, Community Management Institute-Nevada Chapter, Central Florida Hotel and Lodging Association and Arizona Executives.

“The Nevada Hotel & Lodging Association is comprised of leading hotels and business entities,” he said. “My goal through the leadership of the board of directors and the management team is to demonstrate the association’s relevance to all segments of the lodging industry to include developers, owners, operators, vacation ownership, partners, educational entities, members and our valued suppliers.”

Lynn added that NHLA is partnered with the Global Gaming Show, G2E, this year, bringing the new component of a Hotel Show to the event.

“The West Coast has not seen a hotel industry-specific show for several years, and we are excited to be a partner in the first annual show,” he said. “The G2E Hotel Show will deliver in-depth insight for the industry, promising a full spectrum of content, education and a robust trade show dedicated to hotel operations.”

In conjunction with the G2E trade show, the annual Stars of the Industry Hospitality Awards gala will be held October 2 at the Venetian. The annual event recognizes the top industry leaders and employees throughout the state.

The Nevada Hotel & Lodging Association is comprised of hotel company members and industry-supporting suppliers. The association provides advocacy, industry updates, educational resources, networking opportunities, member benefits and related events.

We congratulate Lynn on his appointment!
