Tahiti Village Pool is One of the Best of Las Vegas!

Tahiti Village’s swimming pool in Las Vegas has recently won the Best of Las Vegas award, and it’s no surprise why. The resort’s swimming pool is a true oasis in the middle of the desert, with its tropical landscaping and numerous water features making it one of the most popular spots for visitors and locals alike.

The swimming pool at Tahiti Village spans over 3 acres, and features a variety of different water elements, including a lazy river, a sand beach-entry pool, hot tubs, and waterfalls. Find out why 10 Best thinks there’s something for everyone at this incredible pool, from kids to adults, and even those who just want to relax and soak up the sun.

One of the most unique features of the Tahiti Village pool is its sandy beach entry, which makes it easy for guests to gradually enter the water without feeling like they’re jumping into a cold pool. It’s no question why we were featured on USA Today’s 10 Best Hotel in Las Vegas for families with kids.

The lazy river is another highlight of the Tahiti Village pool, with its gentle current taking guests on a relaxing journey around the perimeter of the pool. Guests can float along the river on inner tubes, taking in the beautiful scenery and soaking up the sun.

For those who want to relax and unwind, there are plenty of loungers and cabanas available around the pool area, and The Points Guy agrees. The cabanas offer privacy and shade, as well as comfortable seating and amenities like a TV and mini-fridge. The Tahiti Village pool is truly a world-class swimming facility, and it’s no wonder it’s won the Best of Las Vegas award. It’s a great place to escape the heat of the desert and enjoy some fun in the sun with family and friends. If you’re planning a trip to Las Vegas, be sure to check out the Tahiti Village swimming pool. With its tropical atmosphere, variety of water features, and endless opportunities for fun and relaxation, it’s sure to be a highlight of your trip.

Las Vegas Is Waiting For You

Las Vegas is bouncing back, and shows are starting to re-open. Occupancy rates for hotels and casinos are on the rise. Restaurants are seeing reservations picking up quickly and regularly having wait times during peak dining hours. Other attractions and entertainment options in the city have increased to 80% by the state Government, and the city is aiming for 100% occupancy rates in early June. All of this means that Vegas is back and ready for your next vacation!

Are you Ready to Come Back?
Join the trend of increasing passenger traffic coming through McCarren Airport. According to their latest data, just over 2.9 million passengers arrived at their terminals in the month of March 2021. That’s up from 2.1 million in March. As airlines begin to adjust their rates, you’ll likely save money by booking your flights sooner rather than later. Airport traffic is always a great indicator of the interest in Vegas, and we love to see things returning to normal.

The Intermission is Over!
Shows like Absinthe and Atomic Saloon Show, by Speigelworld, are now open Wednesday – Sundays, offering safe seating pods. Speigelworld is also diligently working to re-open, Opium, so their trio of wildly popular shows will be here to entertain you during your next vacation. Their shows are perfect for people looking for something a little off-kilter and edgy in the evenings.

If you prefer the acrobatics and theatrics of Cirque de Soleil, you’ll be able to see Mystère and O in person again soon. Mystère will re-open at TI on June 28th, and just three days later, on July 1st, O is back in business at Bellagio. Cirque shows have been closed since the initial shutdown in March of 2020.

Other shows like David Copperfield, Blue Man Group, and Jabbawockeez have been open and operating for some time now as well. The entertainers and their fantastic support staff have been eagerly waiting for the chance to bring their craft back to the stage, and the time is finally here. Remember that you can get tickets to these great shows and more from our concierge desk during your stay!

Getting around the strip just got easier because, on May 11th, the Las Vegas Monorail started running again. Now visitors can quickly get between all of the stops on the East side of the strip and get to their next destination as fast as possible. Remember that you can buy day passes to the monorail to save some money and get around quickly all day long!

What’s New at Tahiti Village?

To keep the tropical vibe strong, the Luau is back in business and better than ever. We have spent the last year looking at ways to make the Luau more immersive, and you’re going to LOVE the changes that we have made. The event space has had a cover added to it to help block out the sun during the early part of the show, and for those arriving early, the new experiences are sure to keep you entertained before the main show.

And if you needed more of a reason to visit us, Mermaid Mondays are back and better than ever! CaySea the Mermaid is upping her showing this year. We will also be offering “Swim with the Fin” classes for children to learn to swim with their own fins! For little girls, they learn to swim in mermaid tails, and little boys will get shark fins. COVID-19

COVID-19: Tahiti Village Update

covidThe COVID-19 pandemic has certainly changed everyone’s lives. That doesn’t stop us from doing everything we can to give our guests and owners the best experience and vacation possible. At Tahiti Village Resort, we care deeply about the well-being and safety of our owners and guests and wanted to provide you with an update on the steps we are taking at the resort to ensure your safety!

Just recently, the Governor stated that in order for Nevada to stay safe and remain open during COVID-19 it is mandated to wear face coverings in all public areas. This Declaration of Emergency Directive was announced on June 26, 2020.

With that, all guests must wear face coverings while indoors, while walking around the property outdoors and while at the pool and lazy river areas. This is for not only your safety but for everyone at the resort. If you have further questions about the new directive, please click here.

Nevada entered Phase Two of reopening on May 29, since then there have been many positive changes in regards to what we can have open on property. After careful consideration of the Phase 2 plan and guidance from the CDC and state directives, we were able to make these further changes–

  • Our pool, lazy river and hot tubs will be open but operating at 50% capacity. Pool admittance will be on a “first come, first served” basis. Wristbands are required to access pool, hot tubs and lazy river.
  • Our gym will officially be opening for use.
  • Wristbands are required to access our pool, lazy river and hot tubs for all registered guests except for children less than 5 years of age. Visit Concierge for these!
  • BBQ area will be open for use.

We are accepting reservations at the resort for guests and owners to come and stay with us. We have taken these additional precautions –

  • The Front Desk and Concierge areas will be fitted with plexiglass acrylic screens. Social distance markers are on the floor for everyone’s reference.
  • Keys, lobby access doors, stairway banisters, elevator buttons, desks, door handles, and all other high contact areas will be disinfected regularly by our staff.
  • In your room, we will be placing “Cleaned and Sanitized” stickers in all high contact areas to let you know we got it.
  • Room assignments will be done so in a way that will allow for better social distancing.
  • Enhanced cleaning of the gym.
  • All employees will be participating in ongoing training to ensure health and safety measures are upheld.

covidWhile you are at the resort we recommend you only ride the elevator with people in your party. Please continue to practice social distancing between each other and in all public areas on our property. Such as our walkways, hallways, lobby areas, etc.

We intend to operate as set forth for as long as possible; however, please realize that these are dynamic and rapidly-evolving circumstances that require day-to-day decision making with COVID-19.

If you need to adjust retail reservations, please contact our Reservation Team at 1-855-386-4658. Adjusting a retail reservation made through an online travel agency (OTA) or another third party, please contact them directly.

For those who are taking advantage in our Complimentary Stay offer and need to change your dates or cancel, please contact us at 1-877-751-8444.

Rest assured that we will contact you in the event that we are required to further change course due to updated health and safety guidance. Thank you for your continued support and understanding as our team navigates what is truly new ground. This is a fluid situation with local, state, and federal jurisdictions issuing guidance and/or restrictions continuously.

covidWe understand that your vacations with us are not what any of us are used to and we apologize for that. The new rules and restrictions that have been placed upon us from State of Nevada’s Directive 024 are one’s we need to follow so we can get back to the Vegas everyone loves! We are doing everything we can to comply with these rules while still maintaining the level of enjoyment that you have grown to expect. With your help, we can navigate through these unchartered territories together and shed those masks! We would like to thank our owners, guests and employees that have been so understanding and cooperative during these times so we can be the Tahiti Village we all want!

Tahiti Village Resort wants to thank you for your continued support and love as we do everything we can to provide you with the best vacation possible!

Chefs4Vegas

Chefs4Vegas: Executive Chef Jason Diaz

Chefs4VegasThis pandemic has been taxing and stressful on everyone, that is no secret. In this time of unknowing, it is nice to shed light on the good happening, as well; especially right here in the Las Vegas community. A beam of light is the creation of Chefs4Vegas.

During the state shut down, there was a surplus of food and products that many chefs and restaurants were sitting on. As a result, many were reaching out to venders and colleagues for advice on where to try and appropriately dispose of the items. Tahiti Village’s Executive Chef, Jason Diaz and other local chefs gathered together on April 18th in a dirt lot off of Tenaya and Warm Springs to find a solution.

After brainstorming, talking, and creating a blue print it was there in that dirt lot that Chefs4Vegas was created. “It even rained on us that day but that didn’t stop us from doing what we felt was right,” said Daiz.

That following week they set up a food bank with the help of other vendors and local chefs, in that day they were able to feed over 300 families in need. “Whenever you can give to your community and provide for them, it is heartwarming,” said Diaz.

This was supposed to be a one-time deal, however the demand grew, the families in need increased and Chefs4Vegas continued helping the community for 10 consecutive weeks. To date, the chefs as a group along with other community partners have provided sustenance to over 10,000 local Las Vegas families.

On June 16th, Chefs4Vegas was awarded a Proclamation from the City of Las Vegas for helping the local community in time of crisis. Chefs4Vegas has now been granted a 501C3, which acknowledges them as a full-fledged nonprofit organization.

“I grew up with not a whole bunch and I relied on food pantries. I know how much that means to a community and I know how much that means to a lot of people. If I could give back and do that, try to do right for them, that’s all this is really about,” said Diaz.

June 24th was another big day for Chefs4Vegas as they traveled to McGill, Nevada to set up a food pantry for that community. “This pandemic really hit hard in that area and there were lots of reports of people not having a lot to survive on. It is very sad times we are in,” said Diaz.

In the midst of all of the sadness, it is heartwarming to know that there are good people in our community that care and are willing to go the extra mile to make sure that everyone has what is necessary during these times.

“The thank you’s and the social media posts from some of these people that really, really needed it is amazing. There is no better feeling then to give back to your community,” said Diaz.

Be sure to give Chef Jason a social distanced high-five or say hello the next time you see him. He and many others have done so much for Las Vegas inChefs4Vegas such a short amount of time. We are extremely proud of our Chef and all that he has done and continues to do every day.

We would also like to say thank you to the other chefs and some of the vendors involved in Chefs4Vegas!

  • The President of the American Culinary Federation and the Executive Banquet Chef of Tropicana, Justin Franco
  • The Corporate Executive Chef of Welbilt, Patrick Simon
  • Executive Chef of YourPandas Food Truck, Jonathan Batista and owner, Janelle Batista

Arturo’s Village Pizza Is Open!

The Arturo’s Village Pizza story begins with a boy from Brooklyn; a boy who never forgot the sights, the sounds and especially the pizza. There was something about the elusiveness in the flavor he could never shake, but it seemed to exist to greater or lesser degrees in every family-owned pizza joint running the length of Coney Island Ave.

He was a regular at their storefronts for years, but the pie-tossing proprietors never knew his name and never once bothered to ask if it was Tony or Joey or Frankie or, more to the fact, Artie. The boy’s name is Artie Spector.

Artie always knew what he wanted and that was two slices, always for the road. One of the built-in benefits of Brooklyn pizza is its portability and pliability. Artie had perfected the famous double stack at a young age. An ingenious 2-for-1 intake method in which consumers place one slice on top of the other, allowing them to eat twice as much pizza in half the time.

These are the memories Artie took with him when he eventually left his hometown to pave his way in the world, a decision that took him far from his city roots. He started out and found his calling in Hawaii, by converting condominium units into deluxe timeshare resorts. It was the vacation ownership industry that led him to Las Vegas.

When Artie moved to Las Vegas he built what we know today as Tahiti Village Resort and Spa. Over the years he furnished it with all kinds of desirable amenities, including a restaurant, spa, and lazy river. Although, his dream since boyhood was to have his very own Brooklyn-style pizzeria and that is where Arturo’s Village Pizza was created.

Arturo’s Village Pizza has been entrusted to our very own Executive Chef, Jason Diaz, “One of my very first promotions was taking over a pizzeria and pizza has always held a special place in my heart. I’ve been fortune enough to have good people teach me how to make good pizza.”

The dough is the foundation of any pizza and Chef Jason has given everyone at Arturo’s Village Pizza nothing but the best. “The dough recipe is mine. I reached out to a vendor to help in making the dough and they are making it and shipping it to me, fresh from Los Angeles,” said Diaz.

Everyone has heard of Brooklyn style pizza, but not a lot have tasted the real deal. Here at Arturo’s Village Pizza we have specifically picked certain pizzas that are true to Artie’s past.

“We wanted to stay as authentic as possible to what Brooklyn style pizza is. If you take a look at what they do, a lot of what we do is mimicked. I just wanted to try and carry on that tradition and make it so it is New York style,” said Diaz.

All of the pizzas on the menu mean something to Chef Jason and they all have something he likes. He can’t choose just one favorite because he loves them all just the same! However, he did mention that the fan favorite has been the Brooklyn Meat Pie; with Italian sausage, Pepperoni, Bacon and Ham, it is the ultimate pie for a meat lover.

“I know it means something to the owner and all we want is for Arturo’s to succeed. I know he wouldn’t have trusted me with what he did if he didn’t think we could pull it off,” said Diaz. We want everyone to know what Arturo’s is and stands for. No one at Tahiti Village should leave without trying real, Brooklyn style pizza.

“I’m looking forward to what we might be able to do further on. The feedback and reviews from everyone coming in has been amazing… it is a cool ride to be on right now,” said Diaz.

What Artie learned and tasted back in Brooklyn, has been brought back to Tahiti Village, and now – quite ironically – a South Pacific-themed resort is the one and true purveyor of authentic Brooklyn-style pizza in Las Vegas.

Don’t forget to stop into Arturo’s Village Pizza the next time you are at the resort and see how Artie’s dream came true!
