Shark Reef Aquarium
Head to Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino to see incredible marine life at the Shark Reef Aquarium. The tanks at this aquarium are filled with 1.6 million gallons of water to house over 1,000 species of underwater life.
You’ll get to see all kinds of marine creatures, including fish, sharks, and rays. If you’ve always dreamed of getting up close and personal with sea creatures, this aquarium also offers the Animal Encounters program that lets guests interact with sharks, turtles, and more.
Clark County Wetlands Park
Escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and head to Clark County Wetlands Park, a 210-acre preserve that’s perfect for animal-watching. The whole family can enjoy a picnic lunch in this scenic park, which is home to a variety of wildlife. Be on the lookout for heron, ducks, beavers and other animals.
Wildlife Habitat at the Flamingo
Children and adults alike will love the Wildlife Habitat at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino. You’ll be amazed that such an incredible wildlife exhibit exists within the confines of the city.
Here, you’ll see all kinds of exotic animals housed in a gorgeous habitat with grasses, plants, and water features. There are lots of pink flamingos here, of course, along with other birds like swans and ducks. Be sure to visit at either 2 p.m. or 8:30 p.m. to catch the pelican feedings.
Springs Preserve
You won’t believe the amazing sights at the Springs Preserve, a 180-acre wonderland featuring reptiles, amphibians, and even mammals like rabbits and foxes. There’s a seasonal butterfly exhibit, gardens, and trails to enjoy throughout the park. The preserve is a great place to get back to nature without having to leave Las Vegas.
