Give yourself a lift at the LV Ski and Snowboard Resort
Ever wanted to hit the slopes by day before tackling Vegas by night? Our newest tour package will take you from the tropics to the mountaintop in no time. The Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort is less than an hour from Tahiti Village, and a roundtrip ticket is only $20.
You can board a ski bus at Town Square, less than a mile from here, and be at Lee Canyon in approximately 45 minutes for a great day of skiing and snowboarding. The bus departs daily at 8:15 a.m. and returns at 4:15 p.m. The Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort has three lifts and 11 trails but will soon undergo a massive renovation that will make it a ski destination on par with Brian Head. The upgrades will increase the number of lifts to 10 and trails to 39 and the number of acres from 70 to 500. You read right: 10 lifts and 39 trails!
The projected $35 million expansion will be done in phases over the next 10-12 years, according to Las Vegas Ski and Snowboard Resort president Kevin Stickelman. In the meantime, you can still get away from it all and experience the flip side of Las Vegas. Lee Canyon has served the area’s skiing needs since 1964 (70 percent of the resort’s visitors are from Southern Nevada), but the renovations are expected to attract skiers from across the country.
